The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech continues their Walk or Talk series with "Meet the Artist Kathleen Madigan" on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 starting at the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion. Drop by the Pavilion for an informal meet and greet with Kathleen Madigan. The Peggy Lee Hahn Pavilion always has local artists works on display. Currently on display we have the fabric art of Kathleen Madigan, Judy Madigan and Emily Cronin — Mother and Daughter Artists. This is a fantastic time to see the art on display in the pavilion and meet the artist! Kathleen will talk about the inspiration behind her artwork. Her mixed media/cloth assemblages tell stories. Shaped by African and afro-Caribbean altars and the use of fabric with symbols, she enjoys using pictures, shapes, objects, and words themselves to form a unique language. All 'Walk and Talks' meet at the Peggy Lee Hahn Pavilion at noon on selected Wednesdays. Parking is limited so come early to find a place to park. We will be handing out Visitor parking passes in the pavilion parking lot. Admission is free and all are welcome.
