Description: The Friends of the Ratcliffe invites the public to a Christmas Open House and Book Signing with Local Authors at the Ratcliffe Transportation Museum on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5:30-8:00 pm.

Learn about the museum and the history of Pulaski including its railroad heritage. Santa Claus will be a special guest for young and old so be sure to bring your Christmas list and your cameras for this special and unique setting for Santa Claus. Bluegrass music will be provided by the pickers from the Pulaski Thursday Night Jam Session. Refreshments will feature desserts by Lindy Mann.

Author Jay Turner will be present to sign copies of his book "Fading Memories of Pulaski, Virginia" (paperback edition). Other local authors such as Michael Abraham, "Chasing the Powhatan Arrow" and poet Kevin McDaniel (Bluefield College), "At the foot of the Mountain" will be present to sign their books. Jerry L. Haynes, "A Cotton Mill Town Christmas", John B. White, and Joe Tennis (various books on Southwest Virginia) have been invited. Previously signed copies of former major league relief pitcher Billy Wagner’s book, "A Way Out" will also be for sale.

The Museum gift shop will be open to browse for unique Christmas gifts including a children’s toy train and a children’s book about a Christmas tree that loved trains.

The Ratcliffe Transportation Museum is located at 51 Commerce Street across the street from the historic Railroad Station in downtown Pulaski, VA.
