The Hokie Village Fan Festival will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 before the Miami vs. Virginia Tech football game at the turf soccer practice field beside Thompson Field and across from Lane Stadium. This week, the Wendy's College Tailgate Tour stops in Blacksburg and includes the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fan display. Fans will be treated to multiple Super Smash Bros. Ultimate competitions. Players who outplay their opponents in mini competitions will receive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate branded promotional items while supplies last. Admission is free and there is no age restriction to play. The set-up will feature a customized Super Smash Bros. Ultimate branded trailer with six game play stations and a large LED screen in dedicated tailgate areas outside of major college stadiums so fans can gather, play and cheer each other on as they compete. The Hokie Village is a fan and family-friendly festival that will give fans the opportunity to come to Blacksburg on home game days and provide them with free pregame entertainment. Hokie Village features inflatables, Kubota Kickoff Show broadcast live starting 90 minutes before kickoff, tailgating games, concessions, music from the Marching Virginians and appearances by Virginia Tech student-athletes including the Spirit Squads and HokieBird. The Village will be held on the turf soccer practice field and can be accessed by both the Beamer Way gate entrance and the Thompson Field entrance. The Hokie Village will open 3.5 hours before kickoff and stays open up to 45 minutes before game time.
