Description: Saving Hearts Foundation at Virginia Tech presents a Free Hokie Heart Screening on the first floor of the New Classroom Building on the campus of Virginia Tech on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

The screening is free and participants must be between the ages of 12-24.

What is a Heart Screening?
• A non-evasive method is used to identify any cardiac anomalies that may lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)

• EKGs are administered by Saving Hearts Foundation members and the results are reviewed by cardiologists.

• The process generally only takes thirty minutes with barriers in place to respect you privacy.

• Cardiologists may recommend additional follow-up regarding the heart screening results of some patients;however, they are not providing a diagnosis.

Advance registration is available and walk-ins are welcome.

Saving Hearts Foundation at Virginia Tech is on a mission to prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest from killing our youth through awareness, education and action. Saving Hearts Foundation provides youth with free preventative heart screenings to check for risk factors that could lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). We also provide young people with CPR/AED training so they may leave our heart screenings more equipped to save a life.
