Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents "Spirits Along the Wilderness Trail", A Halloween and History-Inspired Wagon Ride along the Wilderness Trail on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Enjoy a horse-drawn wagon will transport riders back to the early years of the Wilderness Road, the founding of Newbern and the raid on the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad in 1864. Spirits such as Newbern's founder Adam Hance, Colonel William Christian, tavern guest Andrew Jackson, Representative Benjamin Franklin Wysor and even Union Colonel Rutherford B. Hayes may make appearances. First come availability with limited seating into the past on each ride. Enjoy kids activities and mulled cider while you wait. The cost is $10.00 per person. A good history lesson doesn't have to be scary! Note: The event was originally scheduled for Friday, October 26, 2018, but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.
