Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents "Histoire du Soldat" by Igor Stravinsky on Friday, September 21, 2018 and Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Squires Recital Salon at Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech faculty and students from the School of Performing Arts will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Igor Stravinsky's landmark composition "Histoire du Soldat". On Saturday, enjoy the pre-concert talk discussing "Libretto" by Kurt Vonnegut starting at 7:00 pm. The performances, which will also feature songs from World War I and talks from Virginia Tech faculty, are part of "ReSounding the Archives: The Music of WWI," a festival honoring the 100th anniversary of the end of the war. Note: Saturday's performance contains strong language and sexually suggestive content that may not be appropriate for all audience members. Admission is free. This performance is funded by 4-VA, a collaborative partnership for advancing the Commonwealth of Virginia.
