Description: As part of Blacksburg Sustainability Week 2018, Sustainable Blacksburg presents Stadium Woods Invasive Species Removal on Sunday, September 23, 2018 meeting at the Virginia Tech Police Station.

Help us remove the invasive species that are threatening this stand of old growth forest right on the edge of Virginia Tech's campus.

Leaders from the NRV Master Naturalists will be on hand to provide history of Stadium Woods and guidance on the proper methods for invasive species removal.

Park near the Virginia Tech Police Station on Sterrett Drive where we will gather on pathway next to police station that leads to Stadium Woods. No parking permit is needed.

Thorns aplenty so dress accordingly. Please wear close toed shoes and appropriate clothing. If you have your own loppers or pruners and/or leather gloves, please bring them.

Blacksburg Sustainability Week, a collaboration between Sustainable Blacksburg, the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech is celebrating its 12th year in 2018.
