As part of Blacksburg Sustainability Week 2018, join the Blacksburg Bike Parade on Saturday, September 22, 2018 starting at the Virginia Tech Electric parking lot and riding to the Blacksburg Farmers Market. Event Schedule: • 8:45 am: Participants assemble • 9:00 am: Bike Parade starts • 9:30 am: Bike Parade arrives at the Farmers Market Blacksburg Mayor Leslie Hager-Smith will lead us in a short, but fun-packed bike parade from the Virginia Tech Electric Parking Lot to the Blacksburg Farmers Market. The ride is designed for all ages and abilities – you just need to bring yourself (a helmet of course) and a bike! After finishing the Bike Parade, enjoy face-painting, free bike safety checks, raffle items, a special prize for each participant! Blacksburg Sustainability Week, a collaboration between Sustainable Blacksburg, the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech is celebrating its 12th year in 2018.
