Floyd Country Store presents Wound Tight in concert showcasing Nick Weitzenfeld's final show on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Wound Tight is an award winning Bluegrass band comprised of dynamic musicians from western Virginia. Led by brothers Chris and Ray “Mike” Martin, Wound Tight’s unique sound brings forth innovative and sophisticated renderings of their traditional bluegrass roots. Their energetic bluegrass style has captured the attention of fans and judges alike resulting in first place winnings at both the 20th Annual Maury River Fiddlers Convention and the 24th Annual Sedalia Bluegrass Festival. Wound Tight continues to excel in their musical genre taking ninth place at the 79th annual Galax Old Fiddler’s Convention. In 2015, Wound Tight moved onto the bluegrass festival scene. Wound Tight graced the stage at Chantilly Bluegrass festival for the first time. The band kicked off the Wayside Bluegrass festival with their unique hard driving style of bluegrass. Many band members have won individual awards and have many musical accomplishments. Wound Tight is always ready to deliver a high energy foot tapping performance.
