Mill Mountain Zoo presents Celebrate International Red Panda Day and Children’s Literacy featuring spotted animals on Saturday, September 29, 2018. We will have lots of fun activities for the whole family! Roanoke Public Libraries will be handing out free books, and we will have crafts, keeper chats, face painting and much more! Any child attending dressed as their favorite storybook character or spotted animal will get $1.00 off their admission. UPDATE: This event was postponed due to Hurricane Florence and was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 15th.
