The City of Radford presents the 8th Annual Native American Heritage Festival on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Bisset Park. Schedule: • 11:00 am - Gates Open • 12:00 pm - Grand Entry Enjoy Native American music, dancing featuring the Aztec Dancers, vendors, storytelling and demonstrations along the banks of the beautiful New River in Radford, Virginia! The Grand Entry starting at noon will be a procession of many tribal affiliations, head dancers, elders and children. Master of Ceremonies Lowery Begay will direct the activities in the arena and will explain the symbolism, protocol and spiritual meanings of the dances, regalia and drums to the spectators. The Host Drum is Warrior Path. All dancers and drums welcome! There is also a $250.00 Luck of the Draw for dancers in full Regalia. The event is rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the festival.
