Rising Silo Farm Brewery presents Cantankerous in concert on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Cantankerous is a duo based in Thorndike, Maine made up of Pam the Ham on harmony vocals, concertina, harmonica, washboard and toy piano with Doug Nye and his original, quirky yet often serious songs on guitar, harmonica and lead vocals. You will want to see his Chicken guitar as well as his Egg guitar. Both Doug and Pam are music veterans of many musical projects from old time country, funk, rock and roll, gospel, contra dance bands and solo performing. They met around a party campfire and sensing their musical compatibility vowed that they should get together and make some serious music which they are now doing. Pam winters and plays music in Colorado so springtime and summers leave Cantankerous performing and honing what they consider a fun and entertaining program of original songs. So tear yourself away from your computer and social media pages and come out to one of their shows for some "live music in a dying age".
