Hotel Floyd continues the Music in the Mountains 2018 Concert Series with Scott Perry and Dylan Vest on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Catch beloved Floyd County guitar teacher Scott Perry with one of his fine young students Dylan Vest in a heartwarming performance of blues and gypsy jazz influenced tunes. Scott Perry & Shades of Blue is an acoustic trio featuring talented young (and one not-so-young), musicians from Floyd County, VA. The band grew out of an ensemble of advanced students at my lesson studio. We perform an entertaining mix of blues, jazz, honky tonk and rock and roll with a unique twist and virtuostic flair. The band features myself, Dylan Vest and Jared Richardson on guitar.
