Active Minds at Virginia Tech presents an Open Mic Night on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at XYZ Art Gallery. Join Active Minds for an Open Mic Night centered around creating a non-stigmatizing space to express all things relating to mental health. The space is not limited to work about mental health, but it is encouraged. Donations will be collected and will benefit the Out of the Darkness fund. Out of the Darkness is an annual campus walk to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Active Minds aims to increase awareness about and remove the stigma surrounding mental health, encouraging an open conversation on campuses nationwide.
