Northside Presbyterian Church presents the AdHoctet Men's A Capella Group Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 10, 2017. The AdHoctet, a men's a capella group (a subset of the Blacksburg Master Chorale) will perform a concert of Christmas music. The AdHoctet is a small a cappella male voice group based in Blacksburg, VA. Our current repertoire covers a wide variety of musical genres and includes classical and nationalistic pieces as well as spirituals and contemporary music. The traditional close harmonies of a male voice choir produce a quite different sound to those of a regularly constituted choral group. The AdHoctet regularly performs at the Blacksburg Master Chorale’s Holiday Sing-Along; it has sung as a wandering group of carolers at The Inn at Virginia Tech; for local community organizations; and in annual St. Patrick’s Day and Mardi Gras celebrations.
