2017 Blacksburg CROP Hunger Walk:

Description: Church World Service presents the 2017 Blacksburg CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 29, 2017 checking in and starting at the Blacksburg Library's Community Room.

Help Church World Service fight hunger in 30 countries and here at home by walking in the Blacksburg CROP Hunger Walk. Walk from the check in at the Blacksburg Montgomery Floyd Regional Library Community Room up the Huckleberry Trail one mile and back anytime between 12:00-4:00 pm. The CROP Walk generally takes less than an hour.

CROP Hunger Walk t-shirts and temporary tattoos available at check in. Kids can take a break at the gazebo near the one-mile mark to have story time, blow bubbles or hula hoop. Kids may wear non scary Halloween costumes to bring attention to our Walk of Hope. Super Heroes welcome!

This is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome. Strollers, bikes, scooters, wheelchairs and well behaved pets on leashes are are welcome.

25% of the donations will benefit the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry and 209 Manna Ministries Food Pantry at VA Tech. You may bring non-perishable food for the Interfaith Food Pantry.
