Grab a leash and come dance with your dog as we celebrate Virginia Tech’s Family Weekend at the Moss Arts Center!

Guest artists from Maryland-based Dance Exchange will lead you and your leashed canine through a series of simple and fun movements that highlight the beauty of our pets and the unique relationships we share with them. No dance experience required (for humans or dogs). We just ask that your pup is comfortable and calm around other animals and people.

The event is free. Registration is required; one registrant per dog.

Dance Exchange is a Takoma Park, Maryland-based non-profit arts organization committed to dance making and creative practices that engage individuals and communities of all ages to cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves and their world and to open up the questions at the heart of their lives.

Founded in 1976 by Liz Lerman and under the artistic direction of Cassie Meador since 2011, Dance Exchange creates dances by asking four questions: Who gets to dance? Where is the dance happening? What is it about? Why does it matter?
