Pearisburg Eye Associates presents the Fourth Annual Pearisburg Eye Associates Eye Run 5K, 10K & Kids Run on Saturday, August 19, 2017 starting and ending at Pearisburg Eye Associates in downtown Pearisburg, VA located within Giles County. Schedule: • 7:00-8:00 am: Day of Registration • 8:30 am: 5K Start • 8:30 am: 10K Start • 10:30 am: Kids Fun Run Start The Pearisburg Eye Associates Eye Run is a 5K and 10K Run / Walk that is open to all runners, walkers or anyone in between. The 5K course is a scenic circle through the town of Pearisburg. Awards will be given for top male and female runners including a pair of Nike Running sunglasses. Age group awards will also be provided. There will be some raffle items including another pair of Nike sunglasses which any race participant will be eligible to win. There will be a Kids Run for the little ones which will be about 1/4 of a mile around a large block. Participation prizes will be awarded at the finish line. Sign up is available before the race on Saturday morning, or in advance at the Pearisburg Eye Associates office and online. The Connection Youth Group will be available to watch children two and over while parents run. Additionally, there will be a bounce house, sidewalk chalk, bubble and games for the little ones to enjoy. Post race food and drinks (water, fruit granola bars, etc) will be provided at the conclusion of the race and the Giles Country Club will have food and drink specials including one free beverage (adult or otherwise) for all race participants. They will have seating for both indoors and outside. It's a great place to kick back and celebrate your race finish. The Giles Country club is located on mile 1.5 of the race course.
