Sapphire Ballroom & Dance Center presents a Beginner Dance Workshop featuring Merengue and Carolina Shag on Friday, July 28, 2017. Come out to Sapphire Ballroom to try something new, meet some cool people, and learn a skill that you will enjoy for years to come. In 90 minutes, for less than the cost of a movie, the friendly instructors at Sapphire will teach you the basics of Merengue (the ultimate Latin party dance) and Carolina Shag (the groovy dance from the beaches of North and South Carolina). Both are hot summer dances perfect for dancing on vacation at the beach or in your own living room, pretending you're at the beach. Finish the evening fun with a small taste of a ballroom classic, the Waltz. Come on your own or plan to meet friends, either way you're sure to have a great time.
