Description: The Long Way Home, Inc. presents the 2017 Summer Outdoor Drama "Mary Draper Ingles: A A Frontier Heroine's Journey" on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Nesselrod Bed and Breakfast.

• 6:30 pm: Play begins

“The Long Way Home” was designated as the official historical outdoor drama of the Commonwealth and was held annually in Radford, Virginia from 1971-1999. The play told the story of Mary Draper Ingle’s capture, life among the Native Americans, and her eventual escape and journey over hundreds of miles through Appalachia to return to her home in the New River Valley.

On the last Sunday of every month this summer in the Sunken Garden at Nesselrod Bed and Breakfast this story will be retold as a historical outdoor drama with the title "Mary Draper Ingles: A Heroine’s Journey".

2017 Performance dates are:
• Sunday, June 25th
• Sunday, July 30th
• Sunday, August 27th
• Sunday, September 24th

Dinner theater tickets will provide patrons with reserved seats at the front of the amphitheater and a home-cooked meal from the period with a 21st century twist before the performance along with the opportunity to visit with local historians and the actors. A limited amount of dinner tickets will be available for $45.00 so please purchase these in advance.

General admission tickets are also available for $10.00 and guests are asked to bring their own chairs. Refreshments and snacks will be available before the show.

Tickets are available online or in person at Radford Drug (243 West Main Street) and they accept cash or checks. Radford Drug is open 9 AM - 6 PM Monday-Saturday and they are closed on Sundays
