Description: Virginia Western Community College presents the Robotics Summer Camp starting on Monday, July 24, 2017 through Friday, July 28, 2017 from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm daily.

The Robotics Camp is a 5-day summer camp for middle school students who are interested in exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through the design of an autonomous robot. Students attending the robotics camp will receive hands-on experience with computer programming, computer-aided-design, 3D printing, electronics, robotics, and mechanical systems.

No prior experience is required. The camp will promote an atmosphere of fun as well as the importance of good study habits and learning discipline. The faculty will also involve students in daily discussions and activities that will expand their knowledge of engineering and engineering technology. Students will compete in a bumper car rally on Friday for their parents.

The camp is open to rising 6th-8th graders.

The cost is $199.00 per student.
