The Floyd County Sheriff's Office presents the 10th Annual Floyd County Kid's Fishing Day on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Little River along the Thunderstruck Road Low Water Bridge. Schedule: • 9:00 am: Registration begins • 10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Fishing • 1:00 pm: Awards Ceremony Enjoy fishing, great door prizes, awards, free food & drinks and paddle craft instruction! Door prizes to be given away include fishing rods, tackle boxes, lures, gift cards and other items and children must be present to win. Free food and drinks will be available while they last. Children may pre-register or register on Saturday morning for the free event. Floyd’s local paddle sports outfitter "On the Water in Floyd" will have paddle crafts available and will give free paddle craft familiarization sessions. This is a free event however donations are appreciated. Come join us for an exciting day of fishing! The fishing will go on regardless of the weather as long as the river is safe. Note: This event was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2017, but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.
