The Blacksburg Newcomers’ Club presents “A Celebration of the Blacksburg Regional Art Association, An Evening Out with Artists” on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 starting at 7:00 pm at the Blacksburg Country Club. Gerri Young, president of the Blacksburg Regional Art Association (BRAA), will be the guest speaker at this event Local artists will showcase their work which will be for sale. In addition to the Art Display and Sale, the event will also include a Silent Auction in support of Micah’s Closet. Among the items to be auctioned is a painting that Gerri Young created just for the auction. Blacksburg Newcomers’ members helped to paint this unique piece of collaborative art. Price of admission includes a light dinner buffet (salad and deli bar), one glass of wine, and dessert. Additional wine will be available for $5.00 a glass. Tickets are $20.00 per person and available online at https://squareup.com/store/blacksburg-newcomers-club. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, May 12, 2017.
