Dogtown Roadhouse presents Beccan Call in concert on Friday, March 31, 2017. Beccan Call is a four piece band based in Roanoke, VA featuring the lead vocal talents of Rebecca McMahon, offering a pure tone and a style pleasantly influenced by the likes of legends Alison Krauss, Eva Cassidy and Karen Carpenter, as well as more obscure favorites Christy Knockels (Watermark) and Susan Ashton of the Christian music scene. Established in the Fall of 2011, McMahon, who also plays keyboard, is backed by a trio of extremely talented and experienced musicians, with Steve Hobbs on guitar, Dave Blankenship on bass and journeyman Mark Cline on percussion. Delivering a musical experience including unique covers of standards, rock, jazz and country, Beccan Call made its highly anticipated public debut on June 28, 2012 at the Blue 5 Restaurant in the band’s hometown of Roanoke, Virginia, to a packed house.
