Description: The Palisades Restaurant presents the 8th Annual Celebrity Chef Charity Dinner on Friday, March 24, 2017 and Saturday, March 25, 2017.

The Celebrity Chef Charity Dinner, a six-course, all inclusive chef-driven dinner, is the culinary event of the year in Southwest Virginia bringing visiting chefs in from around the country.

Host chefs Kevin White, Devin Giles and Matthew Kluttz welcome three highly acclaimed culinary counterparts to their kitchen. Visiting chefs include America’s Greatest Firehouse Chef Joseph Bonanno (New York, NY), Bravo’s Top Chef Alumni Nikki Cascone (New York, NY) and Beach House Resort Chef Timothy Davis (Hilton Head, SC). Each chef brings their own cuisine and style to the event and promises to create an evening of spectacular food and entertainment.

Chef Joseph Bonanno is a 21 year veteran with the New York City Fire Department and award winning Chef. He's appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly, Martha Stewart, The Today Show and Good Morning America. He has been featured in the New York Times, The Daily News, The NY Post, Eating Well and Bon Appetit. After his heroic efforts at Ground Zero during September 11th, he focused his career on the culinary arts. He will also be signing copies of both of his books, The Healthy Firehouse Cookbook and The Healthy Grilling Cookbook.

Chef Nikki Cascone is a Bravo Top Chef Alumni, appearing in the 4th season and besting over half of the competition. She has been cooking for over two decades, opening two restaurants, and now travels all over the country for cooking engagements and guest appearances.

Chef Tim Davis hails from The Beach House Resort in Hilton head, SC. He began his career as a dishwasher and worked his way up the ranks to Chef de Cuisine in kitchens from Knoxville to Nantucket to Salt Lake City to Savannah.

Chefs Kevin White, Devin Giles and Matthew Kluttz are the backbone of The Palisades Restaurant. Their combined experience have helped elevate the restaurant to its current position as a nationally recognized, award winning restaurant. Chef White and Chef Giles joined the restaurant after leaving The Inn at Little Washington in Northern Virginia, where White earned his cooking mettle and Giles honed her dessert skills after studying in Switzerland as a Chocolatier. Kluttz joined us from The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. He brings his expertise as Pastry Chef and has consistently created jaw droppingly delicious desserts.

The cost is $130.00 per person on Friday and $150.00 on Saturday. Reservations are required. Call 540-626-2828.

The dinner is a benefit for the locally based Giles County Summer Lunch Program. This important program enables children to continue receiving meals in lower income areas of the county during the summer months when school is out of session.
