Radford University's School of Communication's 2017 Communication Week presents the COMS Week Space Race 5K, a 5k to raise donations and proceeds for Bobcat Backpacks Program on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at The Bonnie Hurlburt Center. More than half of K-12 students in Radford go home hungry. You can change that. The race proceeds benefit the Bobcat Backpacks Program, which sends home nonperishable food with students in need. For more information on the Bobcat Backpacks Program, visit: https://www.facebook.com/BobcatBackpacks/. Early Registration is $15.00 and available through April 2, 2017. Late Registration is $20.00. You can waive the registration fee by donating 12 nonperishable food items. Nonperishable items include: Chunky soup, canned ravioli, canned beans, canned veggies, canned fruit, box of mac and cheese, oatmeal packets, individual applesauce, popcorn, health snacks, peanut butter.
