The Clothesline Project:

Date: March 28, 2017
Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Venue: Virginia Tech Drillfield
Description: The Clothesline Project, as part of Women's Month at Virginia Tech, will be on display on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 and Wednesday, March 29, 2017 on at the Virginia Tech Drillfield.

Survivors of violence – and friends and families of victims – have created shirts emblazoned with direct messages and strong illustrations. Over 580 shirts created in the New River Valley are hung side by side on clotheslines, educating the public about the scope of gender-based violence and the impact it has on individuals.

Come view the displays on the Drillfield.

There will also be a workshop at the Women’s Center located at 206 Washington Street from 9 am - 5 pm.

In case or rain, the display will be moved to the Squires Student Center.

The Clothesline Project is sponsored by Montgomery County NOW, the United Feminist Movement, The Women’s Center at Virginia Tech, and the Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley.
