Description: The Continental Divide, located within The Inn at Virginia Tech, presents Thirsty Thursday with Music by Wyatt Law on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

Wyatt Law, born in July 1949, is a native of Glen Burnie, Maryland. He has resided in Roanoke, Virginia since 1984. Musically, he has preferred finger-style guitar work all of his life. As a youngster, his friends listened to beach or British groups, while he was enamored with Peter, Paul, and Mary and Tom Paxton. Wyatt found himself listening to their hands.

In the 70s, Leo Kottke had a profound influence on the evolution of Wyatt's music. "Jurassic Wyatt" incorporates an explosive burst of finger-picking with finely tuned melodies. Tunes such as "Do-Ti-Do", "Rachael's Song", "Justin Time", "One Plus Three", and "Tre's Tune" were inspired by Wyatt's family bonds.

From "Olde Shoe" to "Loud Coffee", Wyatt weaves a musical tapestry that everyone can enjoy. You will soon find yourself listening to his hands.
