Sharkey's in Radford hosts the Angie-Fest Blues Extravaganza featuring seven blues bands on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Band Line-Up*: • 1:00 - Beatnik Nightmare • 1:45 - The Peter Golladay Trio • 2:30 - Blue Monday Band • 3:15 - The Woogemen • 4:00 - Do Right Daddies • 4:45 - 3 R&B • 5:30 - Billy Crawford * Subject to Change The benefit concert honors the memory of Angela Robertson-Jarrell and the specified beneficiary of the event will receive 100% of all love donations as well as a portion of Sharkey's on Top food sales. Angie is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many. Most are not prepared for things of this nature especially the children. Many local musicians from the New River Valley as well as Bristol, TN, have come together to not only celebrate Angie's life, but also to help us ease any financial strain the family may be enduring. The Beatnik Nightmare is from Radford, VA and plays all original alternative, psychedelic and rock. They cite King Crimson, The Beatles, Azam Ali, Zappa, and Donovan as their influences. From the dregs of local barbands rises a socially interested gaggle of misfits whose vision exists to change musical history! A new psychedelic view of a world gone mad and dreams of a better future.
