Habitat for Humanity New River Valley presents the 2016 Gingerbread House Decorating Contest Awards Ceremony and Habitat for Humanity NRV Advocacy Presentation on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Schedule: • 10:00 am - Advocacy Presentation and Meeting • 12:30 pm - Gingerbread House Judging Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley is hosting our first ever Gingerbread House Decorating Contest. Create your own gingerbread house or use a kit available for purchase at the ReStore. The top three houses will win cash prizes and your house will be on display for the public to see. Submissions will be taken December 8-10th at the ReStore. The houses will be shown all of the following week and must be picked up by December 17th. Each house must be made by completely edible ingredients. We welcome all of the public, creative, competitive, or those just looking to have some fun. The advocacy presentation will be held for those interested in learning what Habitat for Humanity New River Valley is all about and our goals and plans for 2017. Light refreshments will be served.
