WEATHER UPDATE: Due to the inclement weather, the January Radio Show has been postponed. Floyd Country Store presents season six's January 2017 edition of The Floyd Radio Show on Saturday, January 7, 2017 starting at 7:30 pm. Hosted by Jim Lloyd with musical guests the Blue Ridge Broadcasters and much more! Jim Lloyd is dedicated to spreading the knowledge of Old Time Music. The music is such a source of regional pride and Jim Lloyd is preserving the tunes and through his banjo museum, preserving the instruments that play it for our future generations. He is teaching our youth and demonstrating the music in many venues, festivals and music conventions. He is active in creating and driving these music venues to success. Some examples are the music performed at the Crooked Road venue of the BW Country Store, the Rural Retreat Fiddler’s Convention, and his own Black Friday Music Jam that he has held for over 10 years in his Rural Retreat Barber Shop. Live from The Floyd Country Store in the heart of downtown Floyd, Virginia! The Floyd Country Store brings together a new variety show every month. A series of guest hosts will perform original radio plays, comedy bits, ads, jingles, music and more. Each show features the finest old-timey musical acts, from storytelling banjo players to flatpicking guitarists to hard-driving string bands.
