Let's Code Blacksburg presents a Pro Series workshop "Web Framework Django / Python Programming Workshop" on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Rackspace. In this Pro-Series 2-hour "coder workshop" we will go over the basics of building a web app using python and the Django framework. Django is a free and open-source web framework, written in Python, which follows the model–view–controller (MVC) architectural pattern. Django's primary goal is to ease the creation of complex, database-driven websites. Django emphasizes reusability and "pluggability" of components, rapid development, and the principle of don't repeat yourself. Previous Python experience not required, but strongly recommended. A basic understanding of web development is required. Bring your own laptop to use. For more information on Let's Code Blacksburg, visit: https://www.facebook.com/groups/letscodeblacksburg/.
