The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents Taj Express: The Bollywood Musical Revue on Friday, February 24, 2017. Lose yourself in the extravaganza and romance of Bollywood in this new production direct from Mumbai. Taj Express is a turbo-charged fusion of east and west, classical dance steps and new moves, traditional silks and turbans with leather and Lycra, and pulsating modern music played on the finest Indian classical instruments. At its heart is the fairy tale journey of Varsha, a hard-working journalist living in Europe, as she travels to her homeland to discover "The Greatest Indian Love Story Ever Told.” Taj Express explodes with the sounds of India and Bollywood, capturing the vibrant, expressive spirit of the world of Bollywood movies that have been entertaining billions of people in India for generations. Shruti Merchant is the director and producer. Vaibhavi Merchant is the director of choreography. Salim & Sulaiman are the music directors.
