Free Planetarium Show: "Seven Wonders":

Description: The Radford University Planetarium presents the film "Seven Wonders" in their brand new planetarium on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 and Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Turn back the pages of time and witness the ancient wonders of the world as they appeared thousands of years ago. Explore the Great Pyramid, stand in the shadow of the towering Colossus and experience the rest of the world's Seven Wonders. We will investigate the theories of how these wonders were created, and get a glimpse of some of the universe's greatest wonders.

Winner of four Telly Awards and two Communicator Awards. Narrated by Sean Bean of The Lord of the Rings films. This show is produced by Evans & Sutherland.

Admission is free and open to the public.

As always, the shows begin with a tour of the nighttime sky and will include pointing out when you can see Mars and Saturn in the evening skies, and Jupiter in the morning sky.

This new facility is state-of-the-art with 55 new theater-style seats, all digital projection, a surround-sound system, and a full catalog of shows and educational presentations.

We have hearing-assist receivers for the planetarium sound system-please bring your own earphones.

No food/drinks allowed in the planetarium!

The new planetarium is located in Room M75 in the new Center for the Science Building, adjacent to Main Street in Radford, VA, on the Main Street (lowest) floor. You can see the planetarium sphere behind the glass walls just off of Main Street, at the apex of the new lab science building. Enter through the doors next to the planetarium.
