The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the play "Clybourne Park" in the Squires Studio Theatre on September 27-30, 2016 at 7:30 pm, on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm and on October 3-6, 2016 at 7:30 pm. NOTE: Performances are sold out. Check with the ticket office in case seats become available. Bruce Norris' excruciatingly funny and squirm-inducing satire "Clybourne Park" explores the fault line between race and property in two outrageous acts set fifty years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as white community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification. Winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play. Directed by Susanna Rinehart.
