The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents a free screening of the classic film "A Raisin in the Sun" on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Lyric Theatre. The 1961 film stars Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee and Louis Gossett, Jr. When a newly widowed matriarch receives a $10,000 life insurance check, she soon learns her family has their own ideas on how to spend the money.
