Free Saturday Kid's Show: "Dinosaur Prophecy":

Date: October 01, 2016
Time: 10:30 - 11:30 AM
Venue: Radford University Planetarium
Description: The Radford University Planetarium presents their Saturday Kids Show "Dinosaur Prophecy" in their brand new planetarium on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

Long before dinosaurs' massive extinction 65 million years ago, many individual species simply disappeared. Visit dinosaur graveyards, study their bones, and reconstruct how these creatures lived and died to solve four famous cold cases from the age of the dinosaurs in "The Dinosaur Prophecy." Produced by the Rice Space Institute and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, funded by NASA's Office of Earth Science under the "Immersive Earth" project.

Admission is free and open to the public.

As always, the shows begin with a tour of the nighttime sky and will include pointing out when you can see Mars and Saturn in the evening skies, and Jupiter in the morning sky.

This new facility is state-of-the-art with 55 new theater-style seats, all digital projection, a surround-sound system, and a full catalog of shows and educational presentations.

We have hearing-assist receivers for the planetarium sound system-please bring your own earphones.

No food/drinks allowed in the planetarium!

The new planetarium is located in Room M75 in the new Center for the Science Building, adjacent to Main Street in Radford, VA, on the Main Street (lowest) floor. You can see the planetarium sphere behind the glass walls just off of Main Street, at the apex of the new lab science building. Enter through the doors next to the planetarium.
