The Virginia Tech School of Visual Arts, the Women’s Center at Virginia Tech, The Lyric Theatre and the Moss Arts Center present the free film "!Women Art Revolution" on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Lyric Theatre. Lynn Hershman Leeson’s groundbreaking film presents interviews with visionary artists, historians, curators, and critics documenting one of the most significant art movements of the late 20th century—the recognition of female artists and the evolution of the feminist art movement. For over forty years, Director Lynn Hershman Leeson has collected hundreds of hours of interviews with visionary artists, historians, curators and critics who shaped the beliefs and values of the Feminist Art Movement and reveal previously undocumented strategies used to politicize female artists and integrate women into art structures.
