Blacksburg Library offers a Bike Maintenance 101 Class on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Blacksburg's Bike Barn is sending their Service Manager, Scott Owens, to explain general bike care including simple checks to make before going on a ride, the best gear to take along, and how to repair a flat tire. Scott has been into riding and wrenching on bikes for the better part of the last 20 years and the last seven years professionally. He is the current President of the NRV Bicycle Association, teaches bike maintenance classes for the Town of Blacksburg, and helps organize trail maintenance sessions at the local bike trails. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bicycles to the program. Bicycle repair kits will be available for purchase.
