NOTE: This event is postponed until next Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the same time. The Community of Newport presents their annual July 4th Parade and Celebration on Monday, July 4, 2016. The parade starts at 11 am and all are welcome to participate. Parade participants should be at the First Christian Church along Rose Road at 10:30 am for the lineup. The parade route follows Blue Grass Trail to the Newport Community Park. The Newport Ruritan Club will have food available at the park and well as host the Greater Newport Duck Race. Additionally, at the conclusion of the parade, the Village Green will host a hot dog and hamburger luncheon.
