The Christiansburg Library presents the finale of their Summer on the Lawn Concert Series featuring music from Mac and Jenny Traynham on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Mac and his musical partner / wife Jenny were inspired by the original Carter Family and by the many brother duets who recorded commercially in the 1930’s, to master a regional style of old-time country duet singing. Over the years they’ve remained active locally performing for benefits, revivals, music camps and festivals. Mac is also a master banjo maker where he operates his shop at his farm in Floyd County.
