Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech presents their Wednesday Garden Talk Series program Native Bees with Tim McCoy on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. It is fairly well known that honey bees are stressed, and their population is declining, due to many factors, including improper use of pesticides. However, the often looked over native bees are also affected by these same stressors. In this talk, Tim McCoy will provide an informative look on our native bees and provide insight on preserving their place in our environment.
