2016 Hokie BugFest:

Description: The Sixth Annual Hokie BugFest will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Inn at Virginia Tech's Latham Ballroom.

The Hokie BugFest is a free festival that celebrates the joy and excitement of entomology and appeals to every age group. It features a live Bug Zoo, a Spiders' Lair, departmental research displays, a balloon artist, exhibits from regional museums, an insect-collection contest, and eye-catching exhibits. Tony Gustin, the Bug Whisperer, will present an "Educational Super Show."

This is a fun and educational event for the entire family as well as a SAFE (Supporting Autism-Friendly Environments) event.

• 12:00 pm: Brandon the Balloon Guy - Balloon Artist Extraordinaire, Sugary Cereal Connoisseur & Comedy Magician
• 2:00 pm: Brandon the Balloon Guy - Balloon Artist Extraordinaire, Sugary Cereal Connoisseur & Comedy Magician
• 4:00 pm: Brandon the Balloon Guy - Balloon Artist Extraordinaire, Sugary Cereal Connoisseur & Comedy Magician
• Bug Bingo with Rick Fell & Wayne Surles - Stars of "stump the old entomologists" in charge, Win a prize! (Ongoing between Balloon Guy shows)
• Do the Bee Waggle - On stage dance contest! Win a Prize (Ongoing between Balloon Guy shows)

The Inn is on the edge of the Virginia Tech campus off Price’s Fork Road, close to the 460 Bypass and near downtown Blacksburg, VA. Plenty of parking will be available.
