Chateau Morrisette presents a Wine and Chocolate Pairing on Saturday, February 13, 2016 and Sunday, February 14, 2016 to celebrate Valentine's Day weekend. Valentine's weekend, experience fantastic pairings of Chateau Morrisette wines and gourmet chocolates made specially for this event by Master Chocolatier Dona Peters. Join Dona and Chateau Morrisette's Oenologist, Brian Smyth in exploring the intricacies of pairing wine with chocolate. This event is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's weekend with your beloved. It will be held in the William Morrisette Room above the Tasting Room. Light charcuterie will be served with the pairings to balance the palate. Planned Pairings: • Winter's Rose: paired with Vin Gris Bittersweet chocolate and rose petal ganache, hand dipped in bittersweet chocolate with a rose blush luster • Monsoon Winds of Malibar: paired with Black Dog Indian Monsoon coffee and semisweet chocolate ganache in a molded semisweet chocolate with a copper luster top • Purr-fectly Purrfect: paired with Red Mountain Laurel Tiger Butter composed of white chocolate and creamy peanut butter center, hand dipped in milk chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt • Near East Marriage: paired with Sweet Mountain Apple Cardamom, vanilla, pistachio, and cream center, hand dipped in white chocolate and topped with ground pistachios and sea green sparkle • Cayenne Bark: paired with 2013 Merlot Belgian dark chocolate infused with cayenne pepper to give a hint of heat at the finish Seatings are available at 2 pm and 5 pm on Saturday and 2 pm on Sunday.
