Description: Mill Mountain Zoo offers their Summer Camp: Animal Outlaws for ages 5-7 from Monday, July 11 - Friday, July 15, 2016.

Sometimes animals are feared or have a bad reputation but are just misunderstood. Spiders, snakes, lizards, and even wolves, cougars and vultures can evoke powerful negative reactions in people. Knowledge is a great way to get rid of phobias and unfavorable feelings directed at these animals. Campers will learn about how these animal outlaws are really, very cool!

This camp is for ages 5-7.

Mill Mountain Zoo’s popular summer camps are a terrific way to introduce your child to the animal kingdom or to foster an existing interest in the feathered, furry and scaly critters we share the planet with. Each camp is designed to encourage a child’s respect and enthusiasm for the natural world through hands-on, fun and educational activities. Every week is chocked full of great experiences, including up-close animal encounters, talks with zookeepers, games, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, scientific explorations and oh, so much more!
