The Pearisburg Farm to Fork program presents an Introduction to Home Brewing Class on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Pearisburg Community Center from 3-6 pm. Looking to learn a little more about the beer in your hand? Look no further! Participants of the Farm to Fork Home Brewing Class will learn how to make a yeast starter for their home brew beer. Taught by Evan Graham, head brewer of Right Mind Brewing in Blacksburg, VA. This is the process of propagating yeast, beginning the brewing process. The starter ensures that your yeast is actually active and ferments quickly in order to avoid any unwanted bacteria. Any questions about home brewing, how and where to begin, the best books for the business, and more will be answered.
