Description: The Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation presents the 3rd annual “Alexander Black Tie Gala” hosted for the first time at the Alexander Black House & Cultural Center on Saturday, September 19, 2015.

Attendance will be limited. If you did not received your invitation by August 19th be sure to call us or visit our website to secure your tickets and reserve your table.

This much anticipated event will be held at the newly restored, historic Black House which now serves as Blacksburg’s Cultural Center. The Gala will feature a champagne reception and silent auction, an exceptional elegant Southern cuisine by local Chef Richard Perry as well as live music on the lawn. Proceeds from the auction will be used to complete Phase II of the restoration which will make the entire house accessible to our community.

There are a number of ways you may participate in this fundraising gala to help us continue to give back to our wonderful community as a historical restoration project and center for community engagement:

1) Purchase Gala tickets ($90 each) or sponsor a table for 8 ($785) which includes table sponsor recognition and two bottles of wine.
2) Make a personal, or corporate, in-kind or item auction donation.
3) Make a personal, or corporate, donation if you are not able to attend the Gala.

With your help, we can transform the Alexander Black House into a full venue for interactive and intriguing exhibits and programs that will appeal to all generations and tell the story of Blacksburg’s unique history, arts and cultural heritage.
