The Blacksburg Farmer's Market will hold the ever-popular tomato tasting event in addition to their regular farmers market on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Indulge yourself in the pleasure of sampling dozens of local varieties of local heirloom and organic tomato varieties. Cast a ballot for your favorites, and enjoy lively music. The Tomato Tasting will last from 9-11:30 am. Also enjoy music from Joy Truskowski. The event is sponsored by Crossfit Blacksburg. Joy Truskowski weaves together a sonic quilt of harmonies, flute, percussion, and guitar! She performs refreshing and catchy original indie folk pop songs. "I sing from my heart. I experiment with my voice. I write intuitive, fun, pretty, and silly songs. I also play guitar, flute, percussion, and other things to back up my voice. I perform with a loop station so I can play various instruments, experiment, and harmonize with myself live."
