The 80th Annual Newport Agricultural Fair will be held on Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th on the grounds of the Newport Recreation Center in Giles County, VA. The Newport Agricultural Fair will celebrate its 80th birthday this year making it the oldest continuous agricultural fair in the state of Virginia. Featuring rides, good food, games, a horse show, a children's pet show for those 18 and under, horse pull, live music, and more, this is a weekend that you won't want your family to miss! Saturday Schedule: • 9:00 am - Horse Show • 10:00 am - Games • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm - Live Raptor & Reptile Exhibit • 1:00 pm - Games • 1:30 pm - Newport: Prehistoric to Now • 2:00 pm - Forestry Field Day • 3:00 pm - Cake Walk / Cafeteria • 5:00 pm - Jousting Tournament • 7:00-10:30 pm - Concert with Second Wind (Rock, Country, Southern Rock & more) • 9:00 pm - Fireworks Show The Newport Fair is pleased to provide Shuttle Bus Service. The bus route is from the First Christian Church parking lot to the Newport Park. The shuttle bus will run from 6 pm until midnight on Friday and from 9 am until midnight on Saturday. All pets entering the fairgrounds must be kept on a leash or caged. In case of rain, only individual outdoor events may be affected. Everything else will run as scheduled.
