The Radford Parks and Recreation Department presents their annual Free Concert Series featuring the Blacksburg Community Band on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Bisset Park. The Blacksburg Community Band, Inc. is an all-volunteer community organization formed in 1989 under the auspices of the Department of Parks and Recreation in the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia. The band was incorporated in Virginia as a non-profit corporation in 2007. The ensemble is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels from the New River Valley and surrounding areas and performs in an average of 20 concerts each year throughout the New River Valley reaching over 7,000 people. Link: http://www.blacksburgcommunityband.org/ Concerts will be at the Gazebo at Bisset Park and will begin at 7:00 pm and will end at 8:00 pm every Tuesday evening from June 30 - August 4, 2015. Make sure to bring a blanket and/or lawn chair and enjoy a beautiful evening of great entertainment.
